The South House, constructed from remnants the outbuildings in The Yard @ Sion Hill, was built to mimic the traditional look and feel of the Skipper’s House, the larger South House was given its named due to its position on the southern border of the Sion Hill Plantation Yard. The suites in this apartment were named 'Evergreen', 'Casurina' and 'Bamboo Suite' as the house is surrounded by locally grown trees and foliage, with a young orchard to the west.
